Lead Instructor and owner of Tallgrass Animal Acupressure UK
Heather Richardson has been studying Animal Acupressure intensively since 2014 and has had the opportunity to study privately with Amy Snow, Co-founder of Tallgrass both in the UK and in Colorado. She has also helped organise the UK courses over the past 5 years and assisted Amy Snow with teaching the Equine Acupressure courses in the UK.
Heather now runs Tallgrass Animal Acupressure UK and is the Lead Instructor offering courses in both Equine and Small Animal Acupressure.
Heather has a strong background in complimentary therapy spanning some 21 years. She attended the Raworth International Collage of Natural, Nutrition and Sports Therapies gaining qualifications in Clinical and Holistic Aromatherapy and Massage Therapy.
Heather is also a Reiki Master, Equine Touch Practitioner and qualified in Equine Massage. She has also attended training courses in human Cranio-Sacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute, Equine Aromatherapy with Catherine Bird, Photo-therapy for Animals, Fascial Edge Tool, Equine Kinesiology Taping, Vibrational Therapy Tools and Muscle Testing Techniques with Jo Rose Therapies, as well as training with Jilly Tanton in Equine Myofascial Release and Equine Cranio-Sacral Therapy.
Heather is the owner and Director of Amberley Aromatics which develops, manufactures, and sells natural skin care products for humans and animals.
Michelle has had a lifelong passion for animals, being immersed in domestic, equine and exotic animal care from a very early age. In the last ten years, she has dedicated herself to learning a more holistic approach to animal health and well-being, utilising complementary therapies. She is a certified practitioner in Acupressure, Equine Touch and Reiki; and has also undertaken training in Photonic (red light) Therapy and Essential Oils. She is committed to continuing her learning and development and is currently studying to be an animal aromatherapy (psycharomatica) practitioner.
She was invited to join the Tallgrass UK Instructor team in September 2018 and has been personally mentored by Amy Snow, Co-Founder of Tallgrass in her development as an Instructor, with training in both the UK and Colorado. Michelle teaches courses in both Equine and Small Animal acupressure.
Rachel started her studies and training in Small Animal Acupressure in 2005, receiving her practitioner certification from the Tallgrass Animal Acupressure Institute in 2009. She decided to undertake this study after becoming interested in TCM as a way of helping animals after she had qualified as a Tellington TTouch Practitioner for Companion Animals P2 and as a TTEAM Practitioner for Equines P1. Her approach is to look at each animal as an individual and from a holistic perspective. Rachel has been working as a Junior School teacher for 16 years, now working part time to devote more time to her passion for working with assisting people help their animals. She has completed a two year dog trainer as well as attending a variety of courses including: clicker training, aromatherapy for dogs, rehabilitation, canine communication and learning, dog behavior, canine agility. Rachel has experience working with dogs of all ages as well as dogs with uncooperative behaviours. She believes that companion animals come into our lives for a reason, often becoming our best teachers. Rachel shares her life with her husband and her much loved lurchers, all of whom have taught her so much.
